Lt. Tyler, probably the most under-rated character of the entire episode, and had more than enough merit to continue on the series in some fashion or another, even the actor had great personality on camera.... so sad we never saw him again.

Ah yes the real oroginal crew of the Uss Enterprise....We don't see enough of art relatiing to the crew that made such an adventure possible... Their all great but i gice the best notes to Captainn Pike, Doc Boyce & Young Spock... Very impressive

I've always wondered how a Captain Pike series would have been. It's fun to wonder about, looking at The Cage a while back I though, you know it feels more like an episode of a 4th Season than and introductory pilot.
