The character needs a gun - so, here it is

I had to practice the UV unwrapping things too... not perfectly succeed but my first real textured object (2K maps on each part of the gun)

Nice work bro, only one critique from me, the barrel of the revolver differentiate's in color from the the back of it, I am guessing this is to make it look older? Well all of it should look dirty like that, especially the nose of the barrel where the bullet will come out, and especially around the rear of the cylinder as thats where the bullets are hit and a lot of heat builds up, and gun powder residue builds up around there.

Yeah thanks a lot. The color difference comes from the specularmap, could be improved. Good input about the dirt

It's almost perfect. But one thing I noticed is the gap between the front of the cylinder and the barrel seems a tad large

Yeah noticed that too... too late

It's not perfect, the UV's are partially stretched and such things but I'm happy with my first texturing tryout ^^  thanks a lot bud

Wow, great texturing, you can also add glossy or other metal shader to this gun.

Thank you very much... Actually, there is a specularity map on this model. I'm still experimenting with the settings and nodes

It should look a bit used but not too old
