to be honest, I'm not sure D:
because just to be safe I put my figure in a display case away from the window and use lamp in it C:

You've got some very good tutorials, I hope more people will learn from them.

About cleaning, something that I've found to be working quite well is the sprayable solution used for cleaning glasses [I mean those you put on your face, not windows and bottles and the like...], lcd monitors or camera lenses [then you wipe it off with a microfibre towel]. It works for stains where soap fails. Also, for dusting off complicated crevices, the air pump used to blow off dust from lenses works pretty well. I don't have a display case and my figures always get so dusty :[ I've seen some really cool ones, with LED lights, completely transparent... Too bad I don't have any more space for something like that.

is there anywhere that you can just buy blank figures to make your own characters?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

nikicorny In reply to BrockZombie [2012-07-11 09:14:45 +0000 UTC]

I don't really know about blank figures, but you can repaint and mold your figures to make custom one

wont water get stuck in between the joints?
do you dis-assemble the main joints (hands and legs) so that they can dry?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

nikicorny In reply to silkhat [2012-06-10 12:22:21 +0000 UTC]

I don't think the water will get stuck unless the joints are loose They're pretty tight

mlcm77 [2012-03-04 09:17:03 +0000 UTC]

Is that also refer to Nendoroids? Aren't they gonna loosen up if I put them into water? I always do that to my Digimon figures and I noticed that, they loosen up a bit because of the way I clean them up.. ^^ BTW, my Digimon figures were almost 8 years from me. And they're all okay, thought they loosen up a bit.. ^^

Yes nendo can also use this tips for cleaning Just don't put it into water for too long and don't use hot water so it won't loosen up

Wow 8 years, that's awesome

>o< this seems very helpful ^o^!

now i know how to wash my ever so dusty figures XD
umm also
do you know any other materials I can use instead of a cotton stick? (last time I tried cleaning my yoko figure and I used a cotton stick it scratched her.. so I'm afraid to again)

and again, thank you for posting this >o👍: 0 ⏩: 1

nikicorny In reply to Chokico [2012-03-02 22:18:23 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for commenting

You can use anything really, just make sure it's soft so it's safe for the figures maybe a small sponge, or just use a small piece of cotton balls [link]
