Edit: I plan on redo-ing this thanks to ~IHaveSeenTheRain 's critique. Constructive criticism is welcome and strongly encouraged.
Edit 6/7/2011: Made a few changes. I really want to redo this in in Cinema 4D, but I'm not too familiar with the software yet. Do you think I followed ~IHaveSeenTheRain 's advice well enough?

First off all- good job with textures and the choice of colours
The reflection of N is unnecessary,and maybe even over the top. One of my tutors says 'it's not always about adding stuff to your design, sometimes it's about taking stuff away from it'.
The opacity of the spilling colour should be 100%. It doesn't make any sense like this and it will be nice contrast to all those textures
And since the base is under an angle all the colours should behave like that as well. Or just align the base and problem solved

The purpose of the reflection was to add gloss.
I think the opacity of the paint is at 100% but I changed the blend mode.
And the base...ugh! I had a hard time aligning everything right and eventually gave up.
I really appreciate your suggestions. I'll definitely go back and fix everything you told me to fix in hopes of making it better.
