Description At first, I didn’t know if I fell in love with you or your
music. You played like liquid silver slithering through the
air, though sloppy notes sound like a symphony to anyone
when they’re in love. But that was years ago, and

Now, our music dances through the heavens together, twisting
and twirling and entwining irretrievably, a never-ending
duet. Yet now that my blind infatuation has faded, I can
hear your wrong notes, your slip-ups and your

Dissonance, echoing like a good dream turned nightmare. You’re
always playing triple forte, blaring out to make sure
everyone can hear your flair for song. Still, you manage to
make the air quiver magically around you, as

Your delicate tapered fingers fly over the keys like a hummingbird
in action. You finish and look up, and your eyes swirl like molten
chocolate in the sunlight. In an instant, I’m captivated, and I
know that it’s not just your music anymore. You’re

Like a drug, an amazing high I can’t live without. Or maybe
that’s the adrenaline pumping through my veins, and my stomach
performing like an expert gymnast, leaping and flipping, and my heart
pounding on my chest, as if it is desperate to escape from where

I’ve had to keep it in check ever since you told me we were
best friends, and I fell even more in love. I can’t stop gazing at your
pretty face when I think you’re not looking my way – but  “unrequited”
is a disgusting word, and “best friends” isn’t enough anymore. So stop

Reaching for my hand, and putting your arms around me, and
stroking my hair, and leaning your head on my shoulder, and
pressing your face against mine, and gazing back at me; as if
you mean something by it. That way, maybe everyone will stop

Telling me what we’re not, and the sparks will stop flying across my skin
every time it touches yours, and my heart won’t skip a beat every time I
catch you in my sidelong glances. But whatever you do, don’t drop down to
pianissimo, because when I can’t hear your triple forte, the silence is

Painfully obvious. In this bittersweet duet, it’s always me slow dancing; playing
the low supporting notes and creating all the harmony, and you pulling off
the showy, rapid high notes as if it were easy. Perhaps your triple forte
is just to make sure the world hears you over everyone else. Maybe they don’t,

But I do.

Inspirational. Man, this is great. Plus I was sort of going through something a bit like this. It's hard to ignore those who play louder than everyone else, whether it be intentional or just obnoxious in nature.

I swear, this poem is amazing. I can't even find anything that is even slightly imperfect. Lol, I think this part is unforgettable: But whatever you do, don’t drop down to
pianissimo, because when I can’t hear your triple forte, the silence is

Painfully obvious. In this bittersweet duet, it’s always me slow dancing; playing
the low supporting notes and creating all the harmony, and you pulling off

Actually, you DID show it to me... on one of these late nights... XD
<3 Haha, after you become deaf in your left ear, then switch places with so he plays on your right.
