I like to think that after this whole situation with Lady Bone Demon, Wukong and Wángzǐ 's relationship is growing and improving. Monkey King is confused, surprised and happy to be a father, but he has a guilty conscience. He wasn't with his cub and Macaque. He didn't watch him grow up, and it hurts. Now, however, he is here trying to mend their relationship and support him after being corrupted for a while. Wángzǐ feels embarrassed, but he can't help but crave Sun Wukong's attention and presence at the moment.
