I was in a blacksmithing class that shared a space with a glassblowing class,
watching them move around each other was like watching a choreographed ballet.Β

One of my uncles was a glass blower, I visited the workshop in Perth (Scotland) as a child, have enjoyed watching the craft since, they make it look easy.
Actually took up metalwork myself for a few years , although not traditional forging. Any photos of your Smithing?
Perhaps some inspiration for a painting, a surreal glass blower, if I wereΒ a wealthy man I would commission such a work from you Neil.

What sort of metalwork did you do? I've forged, machined, welded. My specialty was ornamental.Β

I made stock for craft shops such as candlesticks , mirror frames, bowls, clocks, and also did shop fitting making counter tops, balustrades, signs etc, some night club work dance cages were fun, working in steel, copper, stainless and aluminium
Was about 10 years in all, a few workshops and a lot of site work around England all good fun..
