I surprised myself by cranking this one out from out of the blue. 0__0 Just goes to show what insanity finals week brings upon us all.

As odd as this sounds, I wish we got to see Cody (or really any of the clones) really break down and all-out sob like this. Also, I wanted to contrast Rex's reaction to clones dying with what I imagined Cody to do. I especially focused on displaying how alone the commander is a lot of the time. "Just him and the dead guys." as Daniel says in B.o.K. There's something so human about a guy without his shoes on too. I mean, we get to see Rex without a shirt so Cody without his shoes feels like Cody naked. And then there's the fact that we've all had days like this where we just sit down an bawl our eyes out because the world is just so tough sometimes.

Cody's expression is something I felt was necessary for a reaction to Umbara. Not because the fighting was bad (lol, if you've been following along the stories you know Cody's seen way worse >;] ), but because his guys got killed by Rex's men....and his guys probably killed some of Rex's men...and that Krell had to turn out like he did and kill more guys....I've always seen Cody as the really sensitive guy too (fits perfectly in with the background I'm sure he has). He knows death too well.
