So close, yet undescribably unreachable.
Just another landscape concept! I feel like I learned a fair amount, in
terms of colour and scale, in this piece. Already, I can look at this and
nitpick about the many problems 
I wanted to illustrate the idea of being so close to a position (of power,
place, role etc.) yet feeling that reaching such a spot is impossible. To
this end, a person could turn away from taking the necessary action to
grasp the desirable and instead remain in a position of "I wish I could"s
and wants. At the same time, that person could also disregard what they
are fortunate to have that others may very well also be idolizing.
I honestly believe I struggled to convey this idea, and that I kept repeating
the same set of colours everywhere. Good to know for next time

This scenery is so calming and wonderful. The 'warm' light and the shadows look great.
And the detail is just so well done, those eastern houses, the birds and the people give this drawing so much life!

This is such a large piece, the kind that's awe-inspiring and humbling with just how wide the field of vision is, definitely one of my favorite feels! And EEEEEE !! EASTERN AESTHETICS!

Yeah, seeing a source of power and actually having that source are pretty different things. This artwork does show that to me, or it could be a close proximity to a source of disaster. That dark stuff rising from the land mass in the distance doesn't look too friendly...
