Created by our good friend - Caladors.
Check it out if you havn't yet. www.xorveil.com/places
We used the best of our high detail illustration techniques in this piece, and we've created a demon package for other artists who're interested in seeing the behind the scenes.
You can find it here: gum.co/wTeSp
The package is meant to show snapshots of the process of creating a highly detailed illustration with the following steps:
-Value thumbnail
-Color Rough
-3D setup and render
-Final paint over PSD
You will find in the package the following:
-2D images showing the result of each of the above steps, located in "Images" folder
-A Blender scene file that was used to produce the 3D base render, located in "imperiousCity_cycles_packed.zip"
Please note that Blender 2.9 was used to create the file, it is not guaranteed to work in other versions.
There is no tutorial or video lesson, the package is intended for intermediary artists who already have a grasp of the basics of 3D and illustrations and wish to pick up some tricks or simply to have some material as reference or inspiration.
Licenses:
The Final image is licensed to the upcoming online tabletop RPG game Xor'Veil:
www.xorveil.com/
Please do not use the final image for any commercial purposes as it wouldn't be very nice,
and also illegal.
The 3D assets were downloaded from sketchfab.com, which offers the following license:
"Each 3D model in the Sketchfab Store must include a royalty-free Sketchfab license... A Standard license means you may use the 3D asset worldwide, on all types of media, for all types of use (whether commercial and non-commercial), in all types of derivative works. Others can do the same, as none of our licenses are exclusive."
I am just a busy freelancer, so I cannot guarantee full support for this package if you have questions for me, however I will do the best I can should you have any questions.
