So I haven't been drawing for like one and a half a month and decided to warm up with a quick sketch. However, a few hours later, it ended up like this, haha
First attempt at painting realism digitally.I've found it very difficult to paint with my tablet, so after a whole lot of fighting with it I'm so happy I finally figured out how to do it, somehow after one and a half month with no practice. Please let me know what you think!

This is really cool. I really like the details to your artwork. This really caught my attention when I first saw it. I really like the dog pose. It looks really kute, and adorable. Plus, it gives a photo-realistic effects. I also like the realistic color pallete. It really stays true to the pug colors, which is really great. The only thing that catches me, is how crisp and sharp the picture is. I really love the High-Definition look to your artwork. The only thing that needs to be smoother are the lines, and also, it needs to be blended in a little bit more. That would've kreate a more realistic artwork, which is a kool thing. Also, I love the details on the eyes, ears, and the dog's body. It really gives out a more realistic tone to the artwork. Overall, I really think that this is a nice artwork. I really like how you handle the details on the dog, and the koloring looks really good. To make it even more realistic, make the lines a little bit smoother, and try to blend them in a little more in order to improve your artwork. Like I said again, overall, you did a great job on your artwork. Keep up the good work.

Hello,
Firstly, this caught our eye when we saw it featured in the ProjectComment journal. It cught our eye, because at first glance we couldn't tell if it was a painting or a photograph.
We love the natural pose of the dog, it looks adorable and gives it a photo-realistic effect. We also like the realistic colour pallet, it stays true to the pugs colours, which is awesome.
We wish that the lines were smoother, and blended more, this would have given the drawing a realistic flare, even when seen close-up. However, this could have been a style choice/prefence, which still looks great. We also which there was a more detailed background, but we assume the simplistic design of the backgrond was to keep the attention of the main subject, the pug.
Also, we love the detail on the ear and face, it gives it a realistic effect and looks really cute. We also love that the face of the pug is clearer than the blurred look of the body, it gives it an effect of a camera, when the face is focused but the rest isn't. We like that you included what the drawing Β was inspired by, as it allows us to see where you ideas were drawn from.
Overall, this is a great drawing and shows a lot of skill and talented.

The drawing is loosely based off of a reference (but only loosely), hence the simple background. I wanted the blurry, painterly look and a messy background just wouldn't fit.

no, actually I find it easier than humans at the moment since drawing humans is relatively new to me. And thanks a lot, this is one of my first more realistic pieces and it was actually chosen to be in an exhibition so I guess it's not my last one either
