Did you buy a Macro lens with it? Which one is the Macro lens? I'm looking at buying an SLR too, but it'd probably be the entry level one, the Rebel XTI..

Yes i sure did, I bought the canon 100 mm 1:2 2.8 lens with an extension cube

400 is a great entry level camera. If you can go a little higher, the 40D however is more versatile and durable. Very high speed for wildlife photography and supports 14bit RAW colour.

$3000, wow. I've looked all over the world online for camera equipment and for some reason, Canada, UK and Germany are always heaps more expensive. 40D is just $1200US. Even with exchange rates it's a huge increase.

Well it's $2300? + taxes and whatever else it's $3000. Yep, huge markup.
