Nice pic. Maybe calibrate/create a colour profile to match your scanner to photoshop. No more surprises then and you wouldn't have to worry about having to play around with it too much.

Photoshop has a few already but you also get them with your scanner/monitor/printer but I guess that may depend on what scanner you have. I have 2 profiles for my scanner (one for the transparency unit and one for reflective) as well as my monitor and printer. None of which I had to create, although it's fairly easy (well the creation bit, matching may take a bit more effort and skill)

Just go to the help in photoshop and search on color profiles. It pretty much guides you through it and I would imagine you've got pretty good colour sense to be able to match the original with what you see without having to resort to fancy hardware to do the calibrations.

You need to turn color management on (custom) of course and it can be retrospective, just a matter of applying your custom workspace

Note that I have no artistic talent or skills, I just play. This years plan (amongst others) is to sit down for more than 5 minutes and actually learn how to do things properly and maybe even do some lessons. I want to be able to contribute more and be at least half as good as some of the people here.

Looks nice. Good job!
If it messed with the colours you can probably play around with hue/saturation/brightness/contrast in photoshop or something...
