Description
Ava : Ava knew that she had been given a real chance here and she had no plans on blowing it. Shanna, her replacement coach, had not stopped talking since Ava had laid eyes on her coming through the door. The relief at seeing her old friend, here and now, couldn't even be put into words. There were so many emotions clambering over each other trying to get to the top for expression, but they ended up on her face as an unreadable amalgam bordering on some kind of insanity. Shanna could see the turmoil roiling beneath the surface, and in her always calm and assured voice went over what the hell I was doing wrong for both of the first two rounds. Taking the advice in, processing it and marveling at how she could so easily see right through the fog, into my doubts and insecurities. Feeling stronger and stronger as she dispelled each one of those little confidence robbing demons.
Standing here now facing Nuka, I can see the steel in her eyes, the barely restrained power that she is holding in check waiting to unleash it upon me, the fighter that dwells within her. Well she will have a rude awakening this round, Shanna gave me the extra smidgen of knowledge on how to handle this tigress. Whether or not Nuka can see the difference in time does not matter, I have 'the' plan and I will carry it out. I knows that Winter has also given her fighter new marching orders, so the team fight is almost as critical as the individual fight that I must bring to the table.
Having Shanna in her corner at this time is as close to 'The Perfect Storm' of circumstances that she can imagine. She will be the fighter that she was trained to be, she will use the tools that she has worked so hard to master, and she will win this damned fight!
