So... British Columbia's motto is "The Best Place on Earth". Therefore, we are legally allowed to be boastful Ontarians, haha.
I don't really mind this motto much... But as a humble Canadian myself, I don't think we technically are the best place on Earth. Yes, there are worse places on the Earth... But I don't really have a favourite place on the Earth and I think all the other provinces (and countries) are just as good.
I realize that this motto has been around since the Olympics, I mean, 2010. (Pardon the Vancouverite.) I just never made the connection until now.
And nope, the motto has not made anyone here more or less selfish. : )
The Provinces belong to ~ctcsherry

Lol when I first read this I thought "DISNEYLAND!!!" but British Columbia is awesome too. <3 It's basically the California of Canada, except no Disneyland. Personally, I think all provinces have something to be proud of. Canada as a country is very beautiful.
It's funny that you mentioned kayaking, skiing, and golfing. I've done all 3. They're really popular and really fun!
I've never been to the East coast of Canada, but I'd think it's a lot more interesting than the West coast. Not a lot happens over here. Except when Americans come here to film their tv shows and movies. xD
