UPDATE* Hey, if you want to see some "making of" pictures, you should head on over to this gallery to check them out. It also has some finished costume pictures as well. [link]For those of you that don't know. I was Thomas Bangalter from Daft Punk for Halloween.
No, I didn't dress up as Thomas Bangalter, I freakin' was Thomas Bangalter. And it was so much fun.
What you might not be able to tell from this picture:
-I can see clearly out of the visor
-The gloves were fully articulated at each joint, allowing full use of my hands
-The visor contained a scrolling LED marquee that flashed the message "DAFT PUNK" continuously
-Through the built-in speakers in my pockets, Daft Punk music was playing from my body all day.
This costume turned out to be the best I have ever done - and I have done some incredible Halloween costumes in years past.
So yeah, soak it in and live in AWE!

That's an awesome costume! I bet a lot of people wanted to hug you randomly or gave you a bit extra candy(if you went trick or treating at all) x3

I didn't take any candy, since robots don't eat. I only got a couple hugs from people I knew; most people were kinda freaked. I'm a lot taller than I realize, so a huge, dark 6'3" robot walking towards you isn't exactly something you instantly think of hugging.

Oh man this is the best. Keep it forever and re use it over and over and over. SO AWESOME. Also on the whole robbing bit. I'm too slow to out run a ninja. BUT TEMPTING IT IS.

I'm definitely keeping all of the components handy in my closet, just should the event arise where I need to quickly call upon the costume.
And you don't need to kill to see the making of photos. I'll find a way to sneak them to you. I'm not going to include all of them in the slideshow, so you'll be getting exclusives.

That's freaking incredible. I just finished listening to Alive 2007, walked into my room, logged into DA, and caught this in the Newest browser on the front page. "Nice work" doesn't quite say it all. I'm going to rob you.

I'm actually considering making more helmets for people who want them. Now that I know how to do it, and I know what mistakes I made, it would turn out so much better the second time around.
Of course, I would have to charge a minimum of $500, maybe more...
You're probably better off with your original plan of robbing me.
