This is a birthday gift for a very dear friend of mine, so no stealing, okay?It's supposed to be more or less right after the battle, the point in the proceedings when they sudddenly realise all the horrors and, well, crap that they've just gone through, yet somehow survived and... yeah.
There, have a bucket to catch all the sap in. Angsty comfort, woo-hoo.
I was sort of going for an abstract version of the effect of a photo with long-time exposure, when the silhouettes of people moving pop up as shadowy trails, and those two would be standing unmoving for quite some time... hence thet tittle, geddit?
I know, I'm openeing up my own cheese bar, here.

The way there are streaks in the dirt on his face from previous tears.
At first I thought the shadows were the remnants of the dark spells that surrounded them, and tehn secondly I thought they were the spirits of those they'd lost, but after reading it I get where you're coming from. I see in the corner where you have a blurred head of someone passing by. I love how you incorporate so many details into each piece, you really have to look at it multiple times to take it all in. (And I love how in most of your final battle pieces, that I remember, they're wearing the same kinds of clothes. I love that. Obviously.) I think I just need to take some time and go back through your gallery. Much love. <3
