I loved Raccoon Mario so much in first grade! I even made another cartoon character, a non Mario character with the Raccoon power, dressing the character with the ears a class-mate called "cat ears" and the tail! Yep I was more interested in Mario than I was in school! Well, I was interested in several things more than school!

Well there was Raccoon Mario (or Luigi) and there was Tanooki Mario (or Luigi). "Tanooki" (or the more proper spelling "tanuki") to me is a funny sounding word. When I read your reply I wondered if "tanookis" even existed, so I decided to go ahead and Google it. They do look similar to raccoons but I still cannot tell the difference between raccoons and tanukis right now.
But I didn't know tanukis were real. Then again, how else would they have come up with that for Mario and Luigi? They wouldn't just make up random words!
But yeah Raccoon Mario/Luigi was Mario or Luigi still in normal clothing but then ears and a tail were added. In the tanooki form, Mario (or Luigi) was dressed in a tanooki suit, his usual clothes were covered or hidden (or perhaps changed even, I mean does anyone where bunny pajamas over their real clothes? Okay maybe some do but wouldn't it be too hot?)

Tanookis are a creature in the raccoon family. In Japanese folklore, they have the ability to float and in real life, I believe, they use their tails as a defense mechanism. Also, tanookis are brown rather than gray like raccoons. Tanooki Mario/Luigi is based primarily on the folklore behind the tanooki, so Raccoon Mario/Luigi is actually cannonly incorrect. Just letting you know. Before you end up pissing some overly obsessed fanboy off.

I love it; it's amazing! Hey, you know, this gave me an idea. With Super Mario Odyssey being released soon, I was thinking that you could draw Mario, Marc, and Peter in the hats and outfits that Mario wears in Super Mario Odyssey, such as the Sombrero and Poncho, Explorer Outfit, and Black Fedora and Black Suit. I'm not making a request; it's just a thought. However, I would love to see you do them all, but I'm not gonna rush you.
