I'm particularly loving mermaids right now,maybe 'cause summer reminds me of them...so here is Ariel getting transformed into a human...she's happy cause she knows her dream is coming true...she doesnt think of all the troubles that she can face...her only thought is her prince...i know we all here have experienced this feeling...so this drawing is for all the hopelessly dreamers

I'd assume this was when Triton transformed her into a human, considering that the time Ursula transformed her, she was nearly killed, not to mention the transformation itself was extremely painful. Good artwork, BTW.

In the movie she actually looks like that she's in great pain. Probably the transformations was painfull... But this one is more ''light'' so i completly agree that she looks happy.

I LOVE THE LITTLE MERMAID! This part was always the coolest! Yet, did anyone else think that it was cruel and unusual how Ursula decided to transform Ariel at the BOTTOM of the effing ocean? I mean...come on!

Yeah, it pretty much was cruel and unusual of Ursula to do that.Β Though I must admit, I was actually very impressed that when Ariel became human at that depth, her only concern was whether she could breathe underwater. Let's put it this way, at that depth, she'd be crushed into oblivion, meaning whether she'd drown or not would be the least of her worries. I guess even when she became human, she was still very much superhuman.
And yeah, the transformation was awesome as well. You know, the transformation scene would probably have been even better if they used the Ginyu Transformation theme from Dragon Ball Z by Bruce Falcouner. The Little Mermaid was a very good film as well.
