Awww, now I feel smart for realizing Girafarig is a palindrome way back while I was playing Silver.
Rather than a Pokemon that comes back to bite you on the ass, it has a back on its ass to come bite you!
A friend of mine came up with a "flip the turkey" hand gesture, which was designed to be less obviously obscene than flipping the bird at someone, yet perhaps no less derisive. "Don't just flip a little bird at them--flip the whole turkey!"
The downside was that it required two hands.
