So I've been playing a lot of Rivals of Aether lately, and with the game coming to the Switch later this year I thought about the potential for a Rivals of Aether character to be included in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It'd likely be DLC if at all, but seeing a character to represent the indie scene that doesn't get demoted to an assist trophy (R.I.P. Shovel Knight) would be a major feat in the gaming world as the first indie character to be playable in one of the biggest fighting games around. My pick went to Maypul because she seems the least gimmicky and most fitting for Smash Bros. There are plenty of more iconic pick, like Orcane and Wrastor, but I think Maypul might translate the best.
