OK this is day3(i think this mayb my last one)
Ok i am really behind on this lol i think am pushing it a bit to much
Well here is my next one lol
I thought i do one of my fav Sonic Character the one and only Dr Robotnik ..... Yes i said Robotnik i prefer that name better than .... Eggman
To tell you the truth i can not take that name seriously, i just laugh everytime i hear it lol, so i came up with this to show the The Harsh Reality of the reaction of what would really happen lol
You know what i love how they did it in Sonic Adventure i did like the fact that the other character call him Eggman as an insult, that works so much better that way.
PS: I did Robotnik with his mouth hidden because in the old 2D games, Sonic Adventure, and the Sonic Movie, Robotnik mouth never shows unless his Laughing, Shouting, or when he feels full of himself, and that is Robotnik to me

Some of it I think has to do with the over all tone of the character. Not only is the name different, but Eggy does have a tendency to be more jovial, especially when he thinks things are going his way. He's supposed to be more along the lines of a 'lovable' villain....where Dr. Ivo Robotnik was very much made to be the type of villain you love to hate. His SatAM version is still capable of giving me chills. A lot of the changes were due to them bringing the character over to the US in a time when we were much more into grittier, darker series. You can see this in a lot of the work Disney was doing at the time too, like Rescue Rangers, Swat Cats and Gargoyles. Where as in Japan, Eggy was always the villain, but he had admirable qualities too, and there was more to him then /just/ being the villain.
But you are right. Eggman doesn't sound nearly as intimidating or serious for a guy who wants to be a super villain. XD

The funny thing is that Sonic Adventure 1 did it right, where his was
lovable but dangerous that you could take him seriously and take him
and a wacky man scientist, but the part where they really got it right
in SA1 which I think they should have kept onward was calling him
Eggman as a form of insult but some still call him Robotnik. Would have had the best of both worlds there and this argument between his name would never have happened.
I still call him Robotnik but the only time I can all him Eggman is in
Sonic BOOM! lol because it suits him in the show so much :'D

Did they call him Robotnik in SA1? I thought Eggman had /always/ been the name used in the games, as it was the comics and cartoons that started the concept of calling him by his last name, Robotnik, instead, though they both share the full name of Ivo Robotnik. Eggy was always meant to be a bit more of a lovable villain in the games, and they never really aimed otherwise, even though he could certainly have his diabolical moments. It was strictly the Western media outside the games that made him into the Robotnik that could be down right sadistic at times.
And yes! I don't care what a lot of other people say about Sonic Boom, I think it's a wonderful short episode series, and Eggy is one of my favorite parts of it. Honestly, if people think Sonic Boom is strange, and 'out of line' with the normal stuff...they don't know Japan Sonic very well, and they have probably never seen Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. Now, /that/ was weird. But I grew up on that show, so Sonic Boom is a milder, but nice hint back to that ball of wackiness.

Well, when he appeared at Tails's workshop he refers himself as Dr Robotnik
were everyone else called him Eggman as an insult which I loved. well in Japan
he was always called Dr Eggman cos you know ....Japan lol but when they took the
game to the west SEGA US Thought that the name should be changed because they
thought no one in the west would take a name like Dr Eggman Seriously as a villain
which I believe worked out better because you can use for both as a darker tone like in
Sat-AM or as a comical style like in Adventures and others
Yeah I agree, I love Eggman in the Sonic BOOM series it just fits the tone and gives him more
a reason why he needs Sonic, like how they did it on Sonic-X because it's in a wacky Dimension
where not a lot makes sense, the games a Rubbish but at least the series and the comic so it
makes up for it.
PS: I also grew up with Adventures of Sonic lol Scratch and Grounder 4tw lol

Actually having read over his official information, the name 'Robotnik' is Sega canon based on his Japanese creation, and actually appeared in the Japanese text for the manual. But it appears in the years that have passed, it's pretty much been dropped from regular usage, and most Japanese fans don't even know of it's existence, in favor of him just becoming known as "Eggy". This makes sense, as they actually bring it up in the Sonic Adventure games with his ancestor, even in the Japanese, being called Gerald Robotnik (Jerarudo Robotonikku).
Omfg! I know! The original wacky robot duo! It's too bad all they ever were in the games was stock baddies. And I'd always liked Coconuts as well. Some of the games I like, but yeah, I feel like a lot of the games once they got into doing 3D were not of the quality they originally gave us for the 2D games. I hope that is something they fix with the games slated for 2017, since they have /said/ they are trying to figure out what they have been doing wrong with the other games.

well it what I heard from so many that was the reason even when I was
working at SEGA they told me that and they everything changes with their
answers rofl, Well what is right or wrong they should have left it lol
IKR yeah that's so true but to me, it because the limited themselves way too
much, taking a lot of things out that were in the 2D games and not putting them
into the 3d games, I say, with the adventure series which are awesome they
did take out a lot especially with SA2 but it still felt like a sonic game, but with
every game after that they took out more and more of the original stuff and added
stuff that wasn't needed with is something the Mario games never did. That's why when
colours and Generations came it they brought back so many things that made the original
great, Power-ups, Unique level designs, Robotnik in the boss sit again, platforming, turning
super Sonic in-game instead of at the end, it start feeling right again and in a big way.
the only things that were missing were the Special Zone, and calling the stages Zones again.
Well that's my opinion anyway

Ah. Maybe it's a name that get's used so little even by Sega anymore that most of the employees don't know about it being canon.
I hope they keep going in the direction of Sonic Generations and Colours. I loved that we actually had good banter again between not only Sonic and Eggman, but also Sonic and Tails! I'm excited for Sonic Mania, and what ever the Sonic 2017 project might bring.

Yeah. I don't think Boom was a bad idea, just that it was not done as it should have been and didn't achieve the potential it have had.I also get the feeling a lot of fans were not willing to give an alternate reality Sonic a try.

No Sonic Boom wasn't a bad idea on paper, I mean a cartoony comedic Sonic
game yeah I'm down with the especially after watching The Adventures of Sonic
the Hedgehog, but it really went to hell with most of the development and the
structure of it, it did have potential it just need more time in the development
side I say it needed another 6 months or at least a year more, yeah true, well
after a few more good Sonic games (if they can do it Hoping hoping hoping) then
i think the fans will give another one a shot.

Yeah...problem is, so many companies want the dev teams to turn out games one right after the other, as fast at they can manage. And the games suffer badly for it and don't even up being nearly as amazing as they could have.

I had to go through TONS of submissions like this [link]
Can you believe it? Quite A few people would Copy and paste this Robotnik Head and put it on anything and EVERYTHING! Including going so far as to paste him over a Real DICK! XP
And "submissions" like this were flooding the which was infuriating me to the point i just banned it for good. My reason for doing so was to stop degrading the great Robotnik with that lame overly used "Pingas" Joke and horrible submissions(copy and paste stuff) that wasn't even really art or took any kind of effort.
All in all when i made the official journal almost everyone who commented was on my side to improve the artwork coming in to the club and stop this horrible copy and paste stuff.
Only one person hated that rule , and he was the one who submitted the Most! DX He even said the club was no longer interesting because of it, but the point was to get rid of that and bring in complete originality, to force people to start drawing robotnik on their own instead of that copy paste nonsense.
I even turned him around, and though his art isn't that great, I'll gladly welcome it over that copy and paste crap! XP
Now do you understand my frustration? =3 Any time i see This face , all i can think of is nothing but those horrible Copy and Paste submissions! DX
I don't even really like the whole "Pingas" joke thing anymore because of it, and ironically i'm literally in charge of a Group dedicated to Robotnik which is called "Pingas"-club....XP But i didn't start the club other wise it would have had a kick ass name. I just simply took over in a way!

Yeah that pretty much Was the reason he hated it! XD But i encouraged him to keep working on his M.S. Paint drawings. they aren't the best, but are "OVER 9000!!!!!" Times better than any stupid Copy and paste thing he's ever done! XP
Also i was considering making a Group like the , before had created it, which i was thinking of calling it something like "The Reign of Robotnik". Which sounds slightly similar to , but i thought up my version long before i ever heard of either clubs! xD
And of course i was eventually asked to become Co-Founder to the Pingas Club and i pretty much completely redid everything there and made it what it is today!
As a side note i plan on giving the a new animated avatar that i shall personally create! =3 As well as a picture that explains how the featured folder for both the favorites and Main Gallery work! XD

Robotropolis wouldn't have been bad, but it directly associates with SatAm Robotnik, which had i created my own robotnik group, wouldn't be the main focus.
Thats why I'm glad I've pretty much taken over the , because i would have made a group all about Aosth robotnik either way! XD Its just the name i don't care for much. XP But at least when you hear the word "pingas" it directly associates to Aosth robotnik, so thats not Too bad...kinda...XD

you make a good point, but i HATE sonic underground! XP The only thing i like about it, is Knuckles being animated in SatAm/Aosth style. everything else....EVEYTHING ELSE Sucks. XP Robotnik is lame, and though Gary Chalk is awesome, isn't quite as awesome as Robotnik. Sleet and Dingo are retarded and useless. Sonia and Manic....just no...
but worst of all....of everything that could be horrible about that show...THE SINGNING! O.o Its like shoving tons of knives in your ears at once!!! DX> I HATE their singning so much....
so yeah...getting back to the subject, i like the idea of Robotnik having his own "kingdom" known as Robotropolis(Its a shame that was never really in Aosth at all, just his main fortress) But i because it doesn't really relate to Aosth Robotnik, thats why i wouldn't make a group about him with that in the title. Thank you! XD Apparently at the time of Sonic underground, it was created as a Rival to the Chipmunks cartoon or something! XD Or so someone's told me. which is why there are there Hedgehogs and all sing. XP The ending of that show is horrible as well. They finally find their mom, only to have her run away from them and cause them to continue trying to keep up with her. So in other words they NEVER reunite with her! XP Lame.
Also yes, Dr. Robotnik did once give himself the title of "The Supreme High Robotnik" when he obtained all 4 Chaos Emeralds which made him near undefeatable.
But again, If i made my own group to begin with, it would mainly focus ONLY on Aosth Robotnik and not the others, just like does now! XD So trying to word in something that would foreshadow SatAm or anything else is essentially pointless.
