Actually, I painted multiple layers and let them each dry a bit, and I scraped down to a layer I liked. From there I used a thin layer of gesso and painted over the gesso with green and white tea/oils to create a greater sense of depth.

Awesome. I love layers and textures, and figuring out new ways to create them. My weapon of choice lately has been a windshield squeegee, haha.

Thanks! I put some green and white tea on top of a thin layer of gesso and it created wonderful colors and a dark undertone that really bring the piece together!
