The Flim Flam Brothers don't rule Equestria. Since Twilight and her friends weren't there to help Applejack in the competition, Flim and Flam took over their farm and business, making them richer and more important, and now they're taking over land etc.

I get most of the villains but the flim flam one I kind of get I mean they would took over the Apple family business and destroy everything
