RANT TIME:
this book killed me- it might be my favourite of all the Super Editions- and that's saying something because I usually hate Skyclan with a passion.

With the main arc kind of losing it's sense of camaraderie and community in Thunderclan (aka the minor characters getting like 1 line each), it was so nice to go to a clan where that sense of family was still very much alive.
Every member was developed enough that you knew their individual personalities and every loss (AND JESUS WEREN'T THERE A LOT) was surprisingly saddening!

I did find the romance to be quite 2-dimensional though. Idk, Hawkwing changed his mind about Pebbleshine pretty randomly for me and then their relationship consisted of her saying "oh you're so brave" and him thinking "she's so cute/pretty/perfect". That was kind of it, but the other relationships made up for it, like...
FINALLY WE GOT A WELL DONE FAMILY DYNAMIC! I love love LOVED whenever Hawkwing interacted with his family- his relationship with Sharpclaw was a high point for me, and it really made his father's death so much more heart breaking. Cherrytail had little interaction until the last we saw of her, but her leaving was done so well and her explanation was so heartfelt. Even Blossomheart, though not a huge part, always seemed to have a very real connection with Hawkwing- it was nice to see a sibling relationship where they aren't constantly attached at the hip or trying to kill each other. Duskpaw was kind of a disappointment, but then it was obvious that he was only there for the plot, and while Cloudmist was a little pointless, there was a sense of closure when she chose to stay with her mother.

I actually REALLY didn't like Hawkwing at first- he was extremely bipolar, it sort of seemed like he just always wanted to argue with the majority and WOW was he awful to Pebbleshine at first. But I really felt that he grew as a character (something which I can't say for the more recent protagonists in the main arc) and by the end, I found myself really attached to him!

The book has actually made me excited to see Skyclan reunite with the other four clans (something which I initially took with a moan of "whyyyyy"), and how their presence affects the story (and come on, Twigpaw and Violetpaw are 100% Hawkwing's daughters- Can we please have a sweet family reunion?!) I honestly can't imagine Hawkwing surviving the entire thing, I can see Darktail killing him off at some point- but for once I'm actually EXCITED to see more of Skyclan!

AND RANT OVER- This is some amazing art, obvious dedication given that you included practically EVERYBODY. I hadn't really realized how many cats died in that book till I saw this picture!
