no problem, actually "ushi" is the japanese pronunciation since you're talking about the chinese zodiac calendar you should search the chinese pronunciation.

(there are characters that can be found in both japanese and chinese but the pronunciation is different depending the country)

well i know it's the chinese zodiac and all, but all the foreign characters i know is japanese, plus i was taking it from fruits basket which is japanese too. but thanks for the advice!

yes i know that. but have you seen or read fruits basket? they use a cow instead of an ox. it's basically the same thing, both from the bovine family, cows are much cuter. read the artist comments, i said ox/cow in there a few times i believe. ^-^
