Description A Revell 1/72 scale Panther tank. Painted in a early eastern camo scheme I believe. Brush painted entirely with Humbrol enamel paints (because i'm still a noob). This is probably my favourite model. I think The reason I like this model is because of the weathering. I have this habit of making the vehicles look as run down as humanly possible. Weathering went as so: painted camo, drybrushed rust, then I took a solution of 2 parts turps (paint thinner) and mixed it with 1 part black enamel, and brush that vertically over the whole model. This I think, is the best part, it tones down the camo contrast and adds effects like rain streaking. Also, an truly unintended side effect, the thinner eats away slightly at the paint, giving it a unique texture, that I think looks very nice. (also helped since one of the paints was from a bad batch and wouldn't dry matte). After The "wash I guess you could call it, I added the final details such as subtle mud, and worn paint effects. Hopefully this paragraph answers your questions (If you cared enough to have any) and once again, apologies for the long paragraph.

Although I HATE airfix models. you did a pretty good job. I'm pretty new to modelling myself and think you dide pretty good. Although, I'd suggest stenciling rather than just freehand brushing. Maybe even airbrush stenciling. It ends up looking REALLY good. Just a little (hopefully) helpful feedback.

Actually, I just found the box and turns out its Revell! The odd thing is, that when placed next to this one, the Airfix kit I do have is much more detailed! *Irony*

True. Airfix isn't bad If you can get it right, just get people to focus on a great paint job rather than the physical model itself. It annoys me that I still don't have an airbrush yet. But thanks for the tip.
