I did this for a gig poster in Belfast a while back. Might put the finished version with text up sometime soon.Pencil on A4 paper.

Cheers missis, cant remember how long. 4-5 hours I think. I can remember the guy who need it for a poster was pretty chuffed it was ready so quick as they needed it in a real hurry. Suprised myself that time as I usually take longer.

Great work and I especially like that it's so monochromatic. Pencil is often the most misunderstood and under-appreciated art media. It's so easy to use, yet difficult to master.
Every character here is soooo cool - it almost looks like my family reunions.

I agree completely and I've found that my tendency when using graphite in particular is to include many more detail than I originally planned.

I found this by chance and to be honest, I love it. Something about the abstract style and the creativity you put into every character just screams out to me. :] Let alone the face that you didn't use a digital media. That alone strikes a cord with me. Beautiful work. ^_^
