I love it! The Landstrider looks so unamused. And I can easily imagine an UrRu trying to reach out to a Garthim, or Aughra snubbing a Skeksis. Good stuff!

What was it about 1982? so many damned good movies came out that year as you had Blade Runner, ET, The Thing, Star Trek II, Conan the Barbarian, Tron, Poltergeist, Creepshow, Pink Floyd The Wall, Rocky III, First Blood, The Dark Crystal, The Last Unicorn, The Flight of Dragons, The Secret of NIMH and more.

Lol. I recently watched this movie. Definitely full of iconic imagery, but man, there's so much filler. Like the scene where the skeksis are eating and they're just pointlessly cramming food into their puppet mouths while shrieking at each other.
anyways, your art is superb as always and bound to be the hilight of the collection!

Oh yeah the story definitely could have been tighter, I really appreciate the movie from an artistic standpoint but between Dark Crystal and Labyrinth I find Labyrinth to be a lot more entertaining. I still think anyone interested in cool puppetry should see the Dark Crystal but I wouldn't claim it's a perfect film.

That movie scared the shit out of me when I was six, bc of the vulture cannibalism scene.
It fucked me up, and I still can't watch it to this day.
I even avoided movies similar to that until just last year, and I'm in my early 20s.

That's completely understandable it's honestly a really dark film. I don't know that I'd even show it to a six year old or any young kid today, I would only tell fellow adults to watch it for the cool imagery.
