Experimental watercolor practice for a project. Trying to figure out different ways to illustrate a children's book for my nieces. This is the main character, Dear Prince.The colors seem duller after the scan. )=
So many inspirations for this. =deathofrats , *tir-ri , ~effuchu , and ~ashcap to name a few.
Tools: Watercolor pencils, watercolor (tubes) paint, ink on cold-press watercolor paper.

So cute and an intriguing concept~ I think I'd be fascinated to see a children's book that utilized color primarily for the backgrounds to really make the characters and action pop; definitely creates a different emphasis
