Done originally for a class assignment. I got carried away with it because I really liked it. The scanner didn't do it justice - the decorative patterns are painted in metallic gold acrylic paint, but the scanner made it look like doo-doo brown. )=

The theme was "origins/where we come from," and the assignment gave me the image of elephants, who travel great distances back to exact points for mating, during rainy seasons, and even to find the grave site of past members of their family. Then I threw in some people-fetuses to make it all deep and shit. Awww yeah.

Tools: watercolor pencils, watercolor from le tube, gold metallic and white acrylic paint, Sakura micron ink on cold-press watercolor paper. Three sheets, to be specific, that i had to Photoshop together.
