I love how his head was made into planewalker card.

Just completely stunned by how consistent with Saga-block aesthetics this is. With all respect, it may not quite compare to Parkinson or Brom, but I could easily have seen this as an iconic painting of 1998.

Well done.

This looks really rushed...the blast waves look like they're still in their concept stage, not polished at all. Also why is he flying in space? He was in the middle of a battlefield when he activated the sylex...

I don't mean to sound too critical because I do like this but the scale is a bit confusing to me (or the perspective I guess). Is he supposed to be huge? Because it seems like he's placed at the epicenter of the blast but at this angular size, he'd have to be really close to where we're viewing from while the planet is really far. It's like I'm getting two different hints for scale and position here.

Again, I don't mean to sound like I don't like it and there is some need for artistic license since it's supposed to be on a card, just my impression.

How I see it:  Urza is about 20 feet away from us, and is about 1.5 miles in the air, same as our viewpoint (we're actually a little high, looking down on an angle).  The blast is several miles wide, happening about 100 miles away.  Urza looks huge because of the massive difference in difference between us and the blast.

I _hate_ to be that guy but although those scales might seem intuitive, they can't apply in this case.

Disclaimer: Yes I know this is art and the image looks cool and that's really all that matters. Kind of regret bringing this up but I guess I have to go through it now.

The curvature of the planet, assuming it's about the size of the Earth, implies that the viewpoint is at about the same altitude as the ISS, which is 408 km / 253.5 miles. That implies Urza is already at orbital altitude since, as you say, he can't be that far from the viewpoint. The area of the blast (I'm guesstimating based on photos) should be around 1.5-2 times that of France or so, at least the part we can see. So the spot under him should be practically at the edge of the blast, farthest from the center.

As art, the only confusing part that's relevant to me is that he feels like he's in the center of the blast but the scale makes it impossible. I guess when I first looked at it, it felt like it was more important than it is. I understand the artistic purpose of composing it this way, just confused my head.

I kinda want an Un-version of this card where the effect is to play your opponent in a sub-game using only cards from ice age "block"
