Okay, first drawing of the year that I kinda like. Of course it's a random character though lol. Never drawn a merman before, but I think it turned out okay? The scales were a pain to do, but it wasn't as bad as I'd thought it might be. Even though there was a lot of stress and tiny details with this piece, it was actually pretty fun to work on! Didn't manage to completely get away from my usual palette (blue/white) but at least there's a variety of color.

Still kinda feel like there's something missing about my style, but can't pinpoint it. Might try to push the realism a bit more? Idk, we'll see how that goes.

Anyway, now I can focus on my comics until the end of the month~ almost halfway done with TTB ;v;/
