I know that feeling, I had it for the past ten years and it's still there.
I have no friends, I feel lonely.
But that's okay, I have my own world in my mind. And it's the prettiest place ever. ^_^
But sometimes I dream to leave this world (rl) and go to another one. (game, movie, etc..)

This is me in a nutshell except more characters I can never really leave a fandom...
Sometimes when I'm reading comics from any fandom I'll stop and pretend that I'm there and I'd talk to them. Out loud.
Quietly though can't let my parents think I'm any crazier!

I'll even imagine them comforting me mostly, Undertale now.
I'll even pretend that I fall down in any AU and they comfort me once they find out I suffer
from depression.
The only thing that would make me leave the underground is my brother.
That's why I can never do Genocide Papyrus and Sans remind me too much of me and my brother.
I sometimes wonder which of us would fall. I always hope both. I can't live without him. ha I'm weak.

I know I wanted to come along with them on their happy ending and hang out with Sans and Papyrus and Toruel, and Undyne and them all. XC I wanna come along too! But I'm trapped on the other side of the screen.

I felt that too. I enjoy drawing lots of fam art and heck started a AU cause I really don't want the game to end. Also played through the game 6 times (also played hard mode) . I find the game to be very entertaining and great.

I wish that too. Everytime when I finish the game and shut the computer, I feel a big burning hole. Maybe that's why I draw fanart so much. And look at fanart, and read fanfics, just because I don't want to acknowledge the end of the game. The feeling will go away, after some time, this, like everything will go numb again.Β

Yes, but Undertale was the only one after literally years, that gave me that feeling over the end of the first playthrough. All other games are just generic, and this is ... well, not. This is strange, to say the least, that such a game contains more depth, and more lovable characters and situations, than a more commercial game.
I can't even begin to explain this, but I know so many people know that feeling.

This is EXACTLY how I feel all the time. At the very end of the true ending, looking back at Mt.Ebott as the credits slowly finish always gets me.
It ALWAYS makes me wanna reset, to re-live the experience and continue staying with the fake characters in a fake world behind a computer screen.
It's hard to let them go.

It is hard to let go. But I wanted them to live their lives in their golden ending. And I don't have the heart to reset. I too treat them all as real friends of mine cause in a way as much as one who reads books are friends with the characters in that book, I do too with video game characters. They are my friends. :'3 depression hurts so badly. XC

as much as playing again would seem nice just to get the same feeling, you're right it will never be the same as the first time ever and i'd feel bad to if i ever reset. And I just refuse.

Dude, this is exactly how I felt after I finished it. Once I got to the end where they were looking at the sunset, I felt so proud, like I was standing next to them. It felt like a punch to the stomach when I realized I wouldn't be able to continue the adventure with them. They felt like friends.
Urgh, I feel stupid talking about a video game like this.
