this was a cool project i worked on with some friends of mine in chicago. in the spring/summer it's covered with vines.

Ain't that always the way... something for nothing.... the number of people who think they deserve a discount just because they've met you and don't think artists/artisans/desighers are "real" workers.... grrrr....

This is wonderful, I love it.
As daunting a project as it would be on a large scale, it would interesting to do many of these in different locations or even made of different materials. Just to see how the form and the experience of being in it could be played with.

thanks. by the time spring is over, it should be well on its way. check out [link] and [link] to see a couple shots from parties they had. the roof deck is a showroom for outdoor lighting (the store's name is lightology), and they use it for special events. i'm trying to get back into doing more of this kinda thing.

it's on chicago at wells, southwest corner (between a gas station and a pearl art supply store). it's a big store, hard to miss. i still haven't been back to see it.

thanks, it's even better now. the steel has rusted nicely, and the ivy has grown in. if you're ever in chicago, it's on the roof deck showroom of lightology (a high end lighting store).
