Director's Commentary: Btw, u guys actually seen a glimpse of this particular VS screen back at Crimson Flare’s Arena in Bloom’s song in FLM CH 7. Oh and just say ‘it’s magic’ on how we got Bloom’s pic on this VS screen XP
What is the item besides Duman’s face pic?
It’s my ring version of the Black Circle. In other words, each WoBC has this ring version when not combining powers, such as convergence, with each other. This is also how each WoBC can transform (FLM CH 9). This is my other changes in WoBC’s planned and original bkgd story, which was somewhat hinted when Ogron and Valtor were talking about Earth’s magic origins in FLM CH 9. Remember, only Earth’s royal family can control and use the Black Circle. Again, WoBC’s bkgd story isn’t important at this point, so don’t worry about this for now.
Why is there no ‘item’ besides Bloom’s face pic like for Duman’s?
B/c Bloom isn’t an official ‘employee’ of Crimson Flare yet. The ‘little pics’ u guys see besides each face pics like this represent their badges. Some example badges were seen in the past FLM chapters from Tecna, Icy, Aisha, and a random Specialist.
Other than what Duman explained about the “yellow bars”, how does this work? How did you come up with this concept?
Solely depends on the finalized rules of the PvP duel. In other words, just like how Bloom and Icy demonstrated in their respective duels in this chapter, these do NOT have to be arena-related battles. Heck, the yellow bars don’t have to measure “willpower” like this upcoming duel between Bloom and Duman. For those of u who are wondering, why didn’t Duman based this yellow bar on, for instance, hp and/ mp? The answer, again, he still looks down upon Bloom, and his preferred fighting style is scare tactics, which, if u think about it, it’s very useful in a battle of willpower.
This idea is inspired by Pokemon contests in the anime version particularly the 2nd round showing off the Pokemon’s style and skill in the Performance Stage in a five-min battle using a point system as their scoreboard. The objective is to decrease the opponent’s points, which are deducted by the panel of judges. Some ways to do this are when a Pokemon get hit by an attack, when a Pokemon’s attack fails, or when the opposing Pokemon uses their Pokemon’s attack to its own advantage.
