Trivia: According to WC fans, Bloom’s height (at least in the first few seasons) is ~5’6 (or 168 cm).

Director's Commentary: There are some episodes in WC S3 where Bloom is standing close to or beside Valtor at their full heights. Based on trivia above, Valtor’s height seems to be about 6’5 (or 200 cm). I only thought about this now b/c I was curious how tall Duman’s bear form is when drawing this. The only ‘guide’ I could reference is back in S4E08 when his bear form is fully standing up right beside Ogron. My thinking is that Ogron’s height is a little bit below Valtor’s, and that Ogron is the tallest out of all WoBC. Thus, Duman’s bear form is similar to an Earth grizzly bear size and/or height being at ~7 feet (or ~213 cm). I am overjoyed by the outcome for this page even if it’s just a ‘simple’ front and back view of Duman’s bear form. In addition, I was able to ‘fix’ a minor mistake concerning Bloom’s hair, b/c even if she successfully slides under Duman, her long hair could possibly by caught by his right bear arm. Even JUST some hair being caught by one of his claws could be troublesome for Bloom. Hence why I got her to hold her hair at her front in the 3rd scene. Though…I do NOT recommend trying to ‘slide under’ a real-life grizzly bear to see if this works or not…thank goodness it’s a magical universe, huh XP

Did Duman notice Bloom’s sword nearby?

The better question is: why would he? He’s mainly focused on Bloom, and he doesn’t usually use a sword. So again, why would he care?

What’s Bloom thinking during this scenario (other than DC above)?

In a way, this is a similar experience back when she was with Buddy against the wild version of Mr. Scorpionfly (nickname given by Bloom to the Scorptera) in FLM CH 4. The difference is that she taunted Mr. Scorpionfly to attack with its tail first and then after a successful dodge, she kicked it off balance from the tree’s branch they were on. This is why she could deal with this page’s situation. Besides, u can’t go over or around Duman, so why not ‘under’?
