Alternative/Extra/Deleted Scene: Ogron’s line in this scene wasn’t supposed to happen. B/c Valtor attacked Duman ‘out of the blue’, each HL was supposed to put up their own magic shields (with exception to Sky bringing up his big blue shield (only used once and his most uncommon shield version) seen in WC S2E08 RAI) including quite a few damages done in the bkgd inside the Higher League Hall. However, this got scrapped due to next page’s scene being that Flora saved Duman.

Director's Commentary: The ‘magic light blue blades’ concept is from WC S3E18. Valtor uses this unnamed spell to try to get Bloom in a surprise attack. One picky thing for this page is that I ‘might’ have position Valtor’s eyeballs incorrectly…HEY, it’s been a while since I’ve drawn Valtor in this particular chapter lol! This got ‘excused’ since he’s quickly trying to protect Bloom., hence those what I call ‘weird angle’ moments. There are PLENTY in the show itself if you’re able to pause it on the ‘right moment’ XP

Will the ‘magic light blue blades’ spell that Valtor use in this scene have an official name? Why not name it here like you did with the others so far?

B/c of this situation. And yes, this will eventually be named in a future chapter perhaps. Obviously, Valtor’s protecting Bloom and needs to do it fast. And even if the Dilution Rule (FLM CH 5) is in place in Crimson Flare, he’s still a high-ranked magic user. It’s pretty much an inexperienced vs experienced sort of thing, which, for instance, is prob why there’s so many unnamed spells in the show when you’re an adult, such as displayed by the adult versions of Winx in WOW series or S3 Valtor.

How come Valtor intervenes now compared to other significant times during this duel?

Again, if Valtor keeps ‘saving’ Bloom, the others are gonna be suspicious. So, he’ll intervene when it’s convenient and ‘to the rules’. This one is mainly due to two pages before…remember when Ogron and Gantlos nodded? Remember, they’re the only ones who haven’t given their favours to Bloom yet at that point. Get it now? Now that the decision has been made, Valtor can ‘come in’.
