Description The dragon of European folklore is often rarely seen in a positive light, often being depicted as ferocious beasts who would lay waste to everything in their path. One of the greatest feats a warrior could accomplish was to slay a dragon, which in itself was no easy task; it took strength, skill, wit, and above all, courage. In many tales of old, facing a dragon was a prime example of man conquering its fear of the unknown and standing against the prospect of unbeatable odds. Because every good story has to have a bad guy, right?
