This peice looks so much better when it can drape on the floor.I am very happy with the way these photos turned out, the ones I took in the gallary just looked like crap.
And my Mom got me two new mannequinns for my grad present and one of them is a man!! yay!! I can finally display my male costumes without boobs!!

pretty much everything I do is inspired somewhat by LotR as I grew up with the books

It's just layers of hand dyed cotton that I sewed together and cut to get the texture.

This is how a costume should be I think. Because it actually looks like something a Lord of a Mountain might wear. You've taken into account the dirtiness and authenticity of color and just everything. It's really really awesome. My goal is to be able to design like this

yup, all the gray is hand dyed. and you can't really see it, but all the layers are appliqued and cut into to add depth. I should put up some detail shots, its kinda hard to explain.

The shoulders are cardboard covered in newsprint, and they covered again with hand-made paper and painted with acrylics.
