Description Sorry for the bad quality.. it was shot in 2mpx.

pseudo infrared.

[+] edit
the picture was taken from a fast moving train out of the window.
the "pseudo" IR was made in photoshop.
[+] mini IR tutorial
The base of this method is the channel mixing. the main characteristic of the IR shots are the white vegetation, and the dark sky. The vegetables are green, the sky is blue So we can just mix the blue channel down to -200%, and the green up to +200%. Don't forget to click the monochrome box. Usually it brings out more the noise, and the JPG squares, so before this a smart noise reduction is also cool. Also, we can adjust the channels more slightly, with less effect, but better quality. Finally we can add some golwing ("soft focus") to the picture to make it more look like a real IR shot. (either on the original green channel, or the whole pic). Actually it will never look exactly "real", beacuse what reflects the IR rays is not depending on colors. But it looks still nice

this infrared technique is very nice. would you mind helping me out on how to apply the IR (on photoshop). I'm still confused on how to use and when to use the channel mixer

Merci , but it does not look real.. i think. on a real IR shot the trees on the horizon would be almost white...

nonsensible In reply to grillazs [2005-05-17 21:41:42 +0000 UTC]

a kritika a legjobb amit irhatsz amugy, szoval koszi
