Description The complete lyrics to the Filipino folk song "Kataka-takΓ‘". (read top to bottom, left to right)

An experiment in baybayin calligraphy, mixing the Kapampangan vertical writing method, with heavily stylized traditional Tagalog/Ilocano characters, and word grouping (as opposed to syllable groupings).

Eh diba we used to read and write from right to left before kaya madami pa din saten in born na marunong tumingin ng at magbasa ng right to left.

just wana point this out?
so if you write Mabait

it should look like

Ma
Ba
it

right??

not

Maba (cus that would cancel the vowel "a" ?? that read Mabit?? Am i right? 0_0)
it

Ma
Ba
IT

αœ‹
ᜊ
αœαœ†

You got it. Basically, you break it down into syllables (Filipino syllables not the English way of breaking down syllables, they are different).

bakit po ba ganito?.. nag google ako ng baybayin translation pero malayo dito itsura.. syllable by syllable ang pag tranlslate... eto parang word by word.. pano po ba to?.. can you teach me how.. may gagawin po kasi akong project na 3d graffiti na baybayin..
i'll promise bigyan kita dun credits..

hoping for your reply..

Traditionally, baybayin is written syllable by syllable and each word is separated by a pause mark | and sentences by a stop mark ||. Modern baybayin uses the pause | and stop || as comma and period respectively - modern writers began using spaces in between words instead of a pause. Which brings us to word groupings. This is fine.

The example above is a mixed method, it is a heavily stylized Tagalog/Ilocano script using Kapampangan writing method and experimental word grouping. This should not be considered traditional baybayin, I am the only practitioner who does this and other die-hard traditionalist may not approve of it.

Ako lang ang nagpasimuno nito.
