Description the story behind this picture goes back to early january when i discovered this girl on my childhood friend's birthday party. back then i barely knew how to take a picture. but she agreed and many months later i was treading the sand of a faraway beach, three little girls laughing and giggling and splattering in the soft, calm waves.

i don't like noon day sun. it's harsh and often washes away all lines that actually create the model's face, and i am left with a blank sheet with a set of eyes. i used a huge reflector behind me, held by two friends, so that the girl's eyes would be safe from the bright rays of sun.

she was standing in water with a very serious face (after all, it was her first time) and i decided to cover her hair with an old fishing net that i "borrowed" from an abandoned fishing village. after a few snapshots she was still wearing this catwalk-face and i was already worried about the results, when her brother suddenly asked her to smile. "smile, anni, smile for the camera." and it was magic.

The net adds a nice texture. Pretty young model!
Good close-up.
