Some thoughts on this I wanted to share;
I looked at this blue lantern as a symbol of (original)Fai’s soul. Fai/Yui wasn’t able to say farewell properly and it kinda bothered me, so I thought about a way to express something like that within a picture.
That’s why I’m holding the lantern like this - I wanted it to look like it’s about to fly away. Also I didn’t want to make this a sad scene, but an ‘accepting’ one - I wanted to depict a calm Fai/Yui, that is finally able to say goodbye without blaming himself anymore.
Not sure if it worked out, but I’m glad I did this.

The "accepting" pose is very well done. Your expression really catches it, it doesn´t look sad but full of "calm determination". I really love the pattern on your sleeves, it looks absolutly neat! Did you draw it on it?

I'm so happy I was able to depict the whole thing.
The patterns are actually made of fabric and ironed (with a lot of drawing, mirroring the whole thing, cut, iron, cut, iron,... and so on). C: I uploaded some 'work in progress'-pictures here, if you're interested.

ahaha du kommst auch aus Deutschland? habe ich erst mitgekriegt, als ich "Dokomi" und "Kassel" in deinen Berichten gelesen habe

Gerne, du hast das Lob wirklich verdient! Die viele Arbeit hat sich ausbezahlt gemacht. So ein sauberes Muster habe ich bis jetzt noch nirgends gesehen, gerade wenn es auch noch aus Stoff geschnitten ist und nicht "nur" aufgemalt. Bei Stoff fransen ja die Ränder aus, als muss man es versäubern, aber das sieht bei Mustern immer so unschön aus. Aber bei dir ist alles so schön sauber *_*
