you could as well try drawing it from other perspective, I mean other than usual film-posters perspective. that would be little more original.

Yes, I'd love to do some original pieces for LotR characters, but he's really a hard task. Anyway I'll try.

Well I know that it is a hard task to make something original, esp. from LotR.
I have done a map... check my Gallery ... and it quite obviously resembles tolkien maps.
In my opinion, when we read a book, we create this original image in our heads, image of landscape, characters and atmosphere. but when we see the film, these images are lost, with only a fat chance of recovery.
And that is probably my case. even though I do my best to put as much original content into things, it often ends with making something at least partly seen or copied form somewhere.

And I do appreciate anything that is original! This is why I love those illustraters, such as John Howe. I really adore their imaginative mind!
And you're absolutely right about what the film left in our minds, after that we just think everything in the film's way......
Plus, your map is great! Don't worry about the 'copy' thing, I think maps always have the same look in some way.
