Red Bull's F4U Corsair on dynamic display at Hahnweide Oldtimer-Fliegertreffen (OTT13) in a strange back-lightning.I like the surreal atmosphere of the picture a lot.

I like your picture of the prop/engine! Little bit jealous about it! I tried something similar, but it didn't worked out, bad lighting conditions

Thats gotta be a -3 or -4 with the 4 bladed prop. ( something tells me it's a -3 )
Still I might be a Fav fan of the Mustang but this lil bend winged bird has always been one of my fav's too since "Baa Baa Black Sheep when I was a kid.

Oh I know, NOTHING purrrs like a P & W. and for her size she wings around like a hummingbird with attitude... Hades even in level flight she looks like she's manouvering. and the look of one swooping in n down is about the best view of anything ever in the air.

Oh yes! The Mustang sounds refined and educated, but when the Corsair arrives, you can hear the sheer power; it just sounds awesome and brutal

Thats cuz they ARE. and that gull wing, talk about an eye grabber... everything from the Messer, Spit, Warhawk, wildkitty, bear scat,... all of them have that similar look especially from a distance, maybe if you know the difference between air cooled n water cooled you can tell a FW from a kittyhawk... but when that gull wing devil swoops in. all eyes turn and when she comes in low n fast with that mixture set just right and that huge assed prop blurring. everything about them is almost designed to catch the eye and attention, which when you think on it is about the WORST thing you can do in a fighterplane is attract attention, but with the FU- series... who the hell cares, just fly baby FLY!
