This is purely just opinion - but I sincerely think you should keep working at this style. Out of all of the art in your gallery at the moment I'd say this tops it all. I think that in time this could flourish to become an great unique style and very beauteous at that - definitely something I would like to be capable of myself. I just looked at this and felt kind of captivated because the textures are so soft. It would certainly be cool to see you draw ponies in this style, too.
But again, that's just what I think. Just keep doing what you enjoy.
