i try so hard like i have dozens of unposted backgrounds that I've attempted that always fail its really quite sad
I watch tons of tutorial videos and adfaghgkgkgdjkhg its very frustrating

Play around more...get a lot of brushes, play with colors, study others art, etc...

One thing Ive learned to do, especially with rocks, is to select the places I want to draw in and use a big textured brush and just go at it until i find something I like.
