He turned to move out of her way but she grabbed him by the collar and jerked him back into place.
Whatever he did he was not going to look her in the eye.
“Don’t be so reckless with your life. Don’t you have anything to live for?”
He shook her hand off and turned his back to her.
“You call this living Rosalie?”
She held back the tears the threatened to fall but she would not give him the satisfaction of seeing how much his words hurt.
“We’re immortal. We can’t die. There’s nothing more to say.”
With that he began to walk away but right before he reached the door he turned back.
“You know the way out.”
She did know the way out and with slight hesitation turned to leave.
“Goodbye.”
