Description Belive it or not but a part of my course in Digital Cultures was about fanart and one of the assignments there was to create your own fanart piece. So there you go, yet an other fallout drawing by me. I wanted to show a bit of the other side of Deathclaws than just being some really fearsome and dangerous monsters. I always figured that deathclaws must have strong family bonds since they live in big packs with the adults being very protective of their youngs (which is also implied to some degree in the game since the mother deathclaw will go beserk if one of her youngs is killed). So I tried to show this softer side of them (well atleast they're not shown mutilating some poor bastard), despite their deamonic appaerance and the fact that they will rip you apart as soon as they get a chance.
I also did this "old comic book style" again for this picture since I think it just goes very well with the fallout games.

I'll usually take the safe and humane way by avoiding them completley, saves me ammo, stimpaks and ethical dilemmas.

Anyway, beautiful fanart. I honestly mistook this for official comic artwork when I originally stumbled across this on tumblr. Very scary too, not a lot of artists can capture that vibe when drawing deathclaws! Love it!

I have a healthy respect of deathclaws (that is freezing on the spot once I've spotted one and slowly back away) xD. I haven't actually played the second game (nor the first one) but I did some research about deathclaws for this picture and came across the intelligent deathclaws of F2, seems really cool and having a loyal deathclaw by your side doesn't sound too bad either.

If you played it on the PC, there's a code to get the debug pistol. It kills everything in one shot.
